Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Night Shift / Travel Contract)
Location
San Antonio, TX
Schedule / Job Type
Contract (Travel) | 6-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting across a 12-hour night shift schedule
- Perform and assist with procedures including conscious sedation, intubations, behavioral health watch, sepsis management, stroke care (TPA administration), and chest pain/heart alert protocols
- Accurately document patient care activities using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Float to other units as needed in accordance with facility floating policy
- Adhere to all unit guidelines including attendance policies and facility acknowledgement requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
- Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department experience
- Current PALS or ENPC certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification
- Current TNCC certification
- Current NIHSS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) designation
- Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
- Strong teamwork and communication skills in a high-acuity environment
