Job Title

Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)

Location

McAllen, Texas

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 6-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients throughout all stages of labor
Assist in the operating room during cesarean sections
Monitor fetal heart rates using electronic fetal monitoring equipment
Manage antepartum patients with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
Maintain 1:1 patient ratios during final stage labor and C-section procedures
Float to Post-Partum unit as needed and rotate weekends and on-call shifts

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Current BLS certification
Current EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification
Proficiency with fetal heart monitors, ultrasound, and OR equipment

Preferred Experience / Skills

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Experience with Meditech EMR system
Assertive, friendly demeanor with strong critical thinking skills
