Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF)

Contract | Travel | Days | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week | 13-Week Assignment | Start Time 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide intensive, patient-focused speech language pathology services within a 52-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital
- Manage a caseload of 4–5 patients per day with approximately 6 hours of direct treatment time daily
- Deliver specialized rehabilitation treatment to patients recovering from traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury (SCI), orthopedic trauma, stroke, neurological conditions, and amputation
- Document patient progress, treatment plans, and clinical notes using Cerner EHR
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to maximize patient health, function, and quality of life
Required Qualifications
- Active California Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute rehabilitation or acute care settings
- Proficiency with Cerner or comparable electronic health record system
- Ability to meet the physical and clinical demands of an inpatient acute rehabilitation environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience treating TBI, SCI, and orthopedic trauma patient populations
- Familiarity with inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) standards and care protocols
