Travel RN – NICU (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, rotating weekends and holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to NICU patients in a 108-bed unit, maintaining patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:4
- Manage respiratory support including nasal cannula, bubble CPAP, mechanical ventilators, and oscillators for patients up to and including intubated status
- Operate and monitor specialized NICU equipment including IV pumps, NIRS, warmers, and isolettes
- Assist with and support unit procedures including central line insertions, circumcisions, exploratory laps, gastroschisis reductions, and PDA ligations
- Document patient care accurately using CPN and Meditech electronic documentation systems
- Float as needed to related pediatric areas including PICU, Pediatrics, and CICU, providing care for patients under 2 years of age
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of Level III NICU experience
- Experience caring for premature infants 28 weeks gestational age and above
- Demonstrated competency in central line management
- Respiratory management experience up to and including intubated patients
- Current BLS and NRP certifications
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with surgical patients including cardiac patients and infants under 27 weeks gestational age
- Experience caring for tracheostomy-dependent infants
- Familiarity with Broviac catheter care and management
