Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
• Perform 60-minute evaluations and treatments, utilizing clinical reasoning to progress patients toward discharge within an established length of stay
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring design of functional treatment programs that support effective return to community activities
• Serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision and completing student evaluations
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and complete all state-mandated continuing education requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of Florida
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist
• Experience in an outpatient therapy setting
• Ability to complete comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
• Knowledge of and adherence to applicable State Practice Acts, professional codes of conduct, and compliance standards including patient confidentiality

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with functional quality indicator assessments and letters of medical necessity documentation
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development through continuing education and involvement in professional organizations
• Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality of care initiatives
