Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg / Telemetry (Nights)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Med Surg / Telemetry unit serving ED observation patients, overnight stays, and post-surgical patients requiring overnight monitoring
• Manage a patient assignment within established unit ratios in a 16-bed unit setting
• Accurately document all patient care activities and clinical assessments using EPIC EMR
• Administer and monitor Heparin therapy in accordance with facility protocols
• Participate in required holiday coverage as determined by unit scheduling needs
• Maintain compliance with all unit policies, including scrub color requirements (Navy)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of recent experience in Med Surg, Medical Surgical Telemetry, Telemetry, IMCU, Step-Down, or PCU
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system required
• Heparin administration experience required
• Active Iowa RN license or active Compact / Multistate RN license (verified Active status required at time of submission)
• Active BLS certification from AHA or ARC and active ACLS certification from AHA or ARC required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
• Completed skills checklist specific to Med Surg / Telemetry, IMCU, Step-Down, or PCU discipline
