Job Title
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP)
Location
Battle Creek, MI
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite | Up to 26 Weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care across all areas of a 15-bed LDRP unit, including antepartum, labor and delivery, OR circulating, scrub, newborn care at delivery, and couplet care
- Perform FHM triage and circulate in the operating room as required
- Conduct lab draws and newborn infant hearing screens using the ALGO 5 machine
- Follow AWHONN staffing guidelines to maintain appropriate patient ratios
- Provide holiday coverage and work every other weekend as required
- Float within the facility as a sitter when needed and to a sister campus (approximately 27 miles) based on census and need
Required Qualifications
- Active, valid Michigan RN license
- Minimum 2 years of experience in OB, Mother/Baby, and Labor & Delivery
- Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate and/or NCC C-EFM
- Required skills: OR circulating and FHM triage
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
- Supervisor-level references required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- AWHONN Advanced certification
- Scrub nurse experience
