Job Title

Travel RN – Emergency Room (Night Shift)

Location

Hopewell, Virginia

Schedule / Job Type

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a 22-bed Emergency Room with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio on night shift
Perform and assist with procedures including cardioversion, central line placements, cardiac arrests, IV insertions, EKGs, pacemaker interrogation, and suture/abscess setup
Implement Code Stroke and Code Sepsis protocols as indicated
Utilize Phillips and GE monitors as well as Level 1 Rapid Infuser equipment in the delivery of patient care
Document accurately using Meditech (EDM) electronic medical records system
Float as needed to a freestanding emergency department located approximately 15 minutes away

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
Strong IV skills with both adult and pediatric populations
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications
Excellent communication skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

Trauma experience and/or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
Prior experience with Meditech EMR system
