Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location

Rochester, NY

Schedule / Job Type

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit within a tertiary care hospital setting
Manage a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 in a MedSurg environment
Accurately document all patient care activities using EPIC electronic health records system
Float to other units as required based on facility need
Complete pre-start facility modules as assigned prior to first shift

Required Qualifications

Active New York State RN license – must be in hand at time of submission (no exceptions)
Minimum of 1 year of relevant RN experience
Current BLS certification required
Current NIHSS certification required – must be included at time of submission
Proficiency with EPIC charting – hard requirement
Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience working in a high-acuity Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
Comfort with floating to multiple units within a large hospital system
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
