Contract RN – Neuro Telemetry (Night Shift / 13-Week Travel Assignment)

Contract / Travel | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Rotating Weekend Commitment | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Neuro Telemetry unit, monitoring and assessing patients with neurological and cardiac conditions
• Perform peripheral IV starts, Foley catheter insertions, and nasogastric tube (NGT) insertions
• Conduct and document NIH Stroke Scale assessments as required by unit protocol
• Accurately chart and document patient care using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Participate in rotating weekend shifts and float to other units as needed per facility floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Texas RN License (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of hospital-based clinical experience
• Telemetry experience required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with neuro-stroke, seizure management, or neurological disorders
• Neuro-surgical or cardiac nursing background
• Prior experience with Meditech electronic health records system
