Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Travel Contract)

Contract | Travel | Nights | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM | Projected Start: August 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an inpatient Medical Surgical Telemetry unit serving adult and geriatric populations
• Manage a patient ratio of 6–7:1 in accordance with unit standards and facility protocols
• Utilize Meditech EHR for accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
• Float to all medical/surgical floors as needed to support staffing requirements
• Participate in occasional low-census call, not to exceed once per month
• Work every other weekend at a minimum as part of the standard scheduling rotation

Required Qualifications

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) state license in good standing
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent acute care experience in a Medical Surgical setting
• Current CPR certification
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as a travel placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Telemetry monitoring in a Medical Surgical environment
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic health records system
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations in an acute care setting
