Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical unit with a bed size of 24–26 and patient ratios of 1:4–6 on days
• Manage and care for a diverse patient population including general, gynecological, breast, abdominal, flaps, and ENT cases
• Administer and monitor heparin drips and titrations as required by patient care protocols
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system for accurate and timely documentation
• Float across multiple campuses as assigned to support staffing needs
• Fulfill holiday work requirements as determined by unit scheduling needs

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 24 months of Medical Surgical experience in a hospital or medical center setting
• Patient care experience with general, gynecological, breast, abdominal, flaps, and ENT populations
• Heparin drip/titration experience
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records
• Current or recent Level II trauma experience
• Must have completed at least one travel nursing contract within the past 24 months (no first-time travelers)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Current or recent Level I trauma experience
• Experience floating across multiple hospital campuses or care settings
