Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Travel)
Location
Birmingham, Alabama
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | Days | 5 x 8-hour shifts, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM | 36 guaranteed hours per week | 13-week assignment | Call required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in a Main OR setting with a 1:1 patient ratio
- Support and assist with Neuro/Spine, General Surgery, and Orthopedic surgical procedures
- Operate and manage OR equipment throughout the perioperative process
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using Epic EMR
- Respond to call requirements as scheduled per unit needs
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
- Experience with General Surgery and Orthopedic procedures
- Current BLS certification
- NIH certification required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Da Vinci robotic surgical system
- Experience with Maxillofacial (Max Face) procedures
- Orthopedic specialty experience beyond general OR background
