Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Neuro/Spine)
Location
Birmingham, Alabama
Schedule / Job Type
Contract (13 Weeks) | Days | 5x8-hour shifts, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | On-Call Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in a Main OR setting with a focus on Neuro/Spine cases
- Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio within a 24-bed operating room environment
- Operate and assist with OR equipment and instrumentation throughout surgical procedures
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and quality care before, during, and after procedures
- Respond to on-call requirements as scheduled by the department
- Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
- Demonstrated experience in General Surgery and Orthopedics
- Current BLS certification
- NIH certification required
- Ability to meet on-call obligations as required by the unit
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Da Vinci Robotic surgical system
- Experience with Maxillofacial surgical procedures
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
