Job Title

Travel RN – Emergency Department

Location

Aurora, Colorado

Schedule / Job Type

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive emergency department nursing care across a 50-bed unit serving a diverse patient population
Perform and interpret EKG readings, operate cardiac monitors, and conduct blood glucose testing
Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5 while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including RNs, EMTs, and medics across day, mid, and night shifts
Document all patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
Communicate effectively with staff and providers to ensure continuity and safety of care

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital emergency department experience
Current BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications
Proficiency with EKG interpretation, cardiac monitoring, and blood glucose equipment
Experience with Meditech EMR or ability to adapt quickly to electronic medical record systems

Preferred Experience / Skills

Level II Trauma center experience
Stroke program or stroke care experience
Energetic, collaborative personality with strong communication skills in a fast-paced environment
