Travel RN – Medical ICU (Night Shift)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend | Projected Start: July 27, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide total nursing care for critically ill patients in a 26-bed Medical ICU with a 2:1 patient ratio
- Manage ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, balloon pumps, ventriculostomy drains, and critical care drips
- Perform and assist with procedures including intubations, cardioversions, IABP management, CRRT, proning, and ventriculostomy drain placement and management
- Document patient care using Meditech with Evidence Based Clinical Documentation (EBCD) and utilize iMobile technology
- Conduct hourly rounding, bedside hand-off reporting, and completion of care boards using AIDET communication standards
- Float to other Medical-Surgical or Intensive Care Units as needed per staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Proficient knowledge of cardiac, neurological, and respiratory systems with thorough assessment skills
- Experience with ventilator management and critical care drip administration
- Willingness to care for COVID-19 patients and ability to properly don and doff PPE including masks, face shields, goggles, PAPRs, and hoods
- Must reside 50 or more miles from the facility to qualify for travel assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center, Certified Stroke Center, or Certified Chest Pain Center environment
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation systems
