Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel Contract)

Contract / Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting across a variety of acuity levels
- Perform and assist with procedures including conscious sedation, intubations, behavioral health watch, sepsis management, stroke care (TPA administration), and chest pain/heart alert protocols
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Float to other units as needed in accordance with facility floating policy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
- Adhere to all facility dress code, attendance, and unit-specific guidelines and policies
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas RN License – Temporary licenses will not be accepted
- Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department RN experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current PALS or ENPC certification
- Current TNCC certification
- Current NIHSS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) designation
- Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
- Strong teamwork and communication skills in a high-acuity clinical environment
