Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery (Travel)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide full-scope LDRP care including labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and newborn nursing in an 8-bed unit
  • Manage intrapartum care including induction and augmentation, Pitocin titration, and high-risk labor monitoring
  • Perform fetal heart rate monitoring interpretation and circulate C-sections as needed
  • Participate in neonatal resuscitation and perform immediate newborn stabilization and routine newborn assessments
  • Deliver postpartum and couplet care for stable mothers and infants at a 3:1 patient ratio; maintain 1:1 ratio for laboring patients
  • Float within Women's Services and transition between labor, nursery, and couplet assignments based on census and staffing needs

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN licensure
  • BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
  • NRP certification
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
  • Demonstrated competency in high-risk labor management, fetal monitoring interpretation, C-section circulation, and neonatal resuscitation
  • Ability to function independently in a low-volume, high-acuity setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring and STABLE certifications
  • Previous experience in a rural hospital setting
  • Experience working within an LDRP care model
