Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Call rotation required approximately every 5 weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Administer nuclear imaging procedures and calculate, prepare, measure, and administer diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals and adjunctive medications under physician direction, adhering to all relevant safety standards
- Perform a variety of nuclear medicine studies on inpatients and outpatients across all age groups, from neonate to geriatric, including hot lab duties
- Operate nuclear medicine cameras and equipment, process imaging data, and transmit results to required destinations via computer systems including Epic and SECTRA PACS
- Monitor patient condition throughout imaging procedures, collect patient information, analyze data, and produce quality images for physician diagnosis
- Apply NRC rules and regulations and implement radiation safety standards and quality assurance practices into daily workflow
- Perform PET/CT scans as needed based on departmental needs; cross-training available though not required
Required Qualifications
- Active NMTCB (CNMT) or ARRT (N) certification required
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Active North Dakota state license required
- Ability to perform nuclear medicine procedures following department orientation
- Understanding of NRC rules, radiation safety practices, and nuclear medicine equipment theory and principles
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with Siemens Symbia cameras preferred
- Experience with Epic electronic health records and SECTRA PACS systems preferred
- PET/CT experience is a plus, though not required for scheduling purposes
