Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Travel Contract)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (6:45 AM – 3:15 PM) | 36 Hours per Week Guaranteed | Onsite | Projected Start: September 4, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized perioperative nursing care within a dedicated Operating Room setting serving patients of all ages
• Perform assigned OR duties including scrub and/or circulating roles as required by the unit
• Utilize Cerner EHR to accurately document patient care, assessments, and interventions
• Participate in on-call rotation, including approximately 6 call shifts per month and 1 weekend per month as needed
• Float to other areas of the surgical unit as needed
• Adhere to facility dress code; scrubs are provided by the facility

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure valid in the state of North Carolina (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum 1–2 years of specialized Operating Room experience required; this is not a floor nursing position
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current CPI / Handle With Care (HWC) / Management of Aggressive Behavior (MAB) certification
• All required certifications must be obtained prior to start date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner electronic health record system
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to varied surgical cases and serve a broad patient population including pediatric through geriatric
