Travel Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required | Some Holidays Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Telemetry unit utilizing continuous cardiac monitoring and telemetry oversight
• Perform IV insertion and management, as well as management of lines and drains
• Provide post-procedure care for patients following cardiac catheterization, pacemaker placement or revision, and vascular surgery
• Conduct bedside shift reports, hourly rounding, and maintain communication boards in accordance with unit standards
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech (EBCD) electronic charting system
• Float to other units as required per facility floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN License (Temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of hospital or telemetry specialty experience
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinical environment utilizing AIDET communication framework

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Knowledge of cardiac medications and IV drip management, including insulin, heparin, and other cardiac drips
• Proficiency with Meditech electronic documentation system
