Key Responsibilities
- Provide PCU-level nursing care to a patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics
- Monitor patients continuously via telemetry on a Neuro/Stroke PCU floor encompassing respiratory, cardiac, and mixed medical cases
- Titrate cardiac drips and manage hemodynamically complex patients within a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Document and communicate patient status using SBAR methodology within the Epic electronic health record system
- Administer and manage medications utilizing Pyxis dispensing systems
- Float within the facility and within scope of practice as operationally needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers accepted
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHS) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a Neuro/Stroke or cardiac PCU/stepdown setting
- Familiarity with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication frameworks
- Experience with continuous telemetry monitoring and titrating cardiac drips
