Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (9:00 AM–9:00 PM or 11:00 AM–11:00 PM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Call Required
Key Responsibilities
- Perform circulator and scrub roles across a high-volume operating room averaging 22 cases per day
- Provide skilled perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular, vascular, general, thoracic, robotic, orthopedic, ENT, urology, and gynecological surgical procedures
- Perform and assist with vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting in cardiac and vascular cases
- Participate in on-call rotation, including one call day per week and one to two weekend call shifts per four-to-five week schedule, with a 30-minute response time requirement
- Document patient care accurately using electronic health record systems
- Adhere to facility infection control policies, including seasonal flu vaccination requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active WV or Compact RN license (pending license accepted at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room specialty experience
- Cardiovascular surgery experience is required
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Proficiency in both circulator and scrub roles
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Proficiency across multiple surgical specialties including vascular (AV fistulas, aortic surgeries, bypasses, carotids), orthopedics (arthroscopies, total joints), general surgery (colorectal, Whipple, liver resections, mastectomies), ENT, urology, robotics, and gynecology
- Experience with robotic-assisted surgery platforms across colorectal, gynecologic, and hernia procedures
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic health record system
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
