Job Title

Registered Nurse – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Location

Atlanta, GA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–10:30 PM | Unit operates 24/7 with call coverage on holidays

Key Responsibilities

Provide post-anesthesia nursing care for higher-acuity surgical patients across a range of specialties including thoracic, orthopedic, neurology, vascular, urology, and general surgery
Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia, identifying and responding to changes in condition
Collaborate with charge nurses and supervisors within a structured unit leadership model
Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records
Fulfill holiday coverage requirements, including 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum of 2 years of recent PACU experience
AHA ACLS certification required
AHA BLS certification required
NIHSS certification required
Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience with Cerner electronic health records
Familiarity with high-acuity post-surgical patient populations
Experience across multiple surgical specialties including neurology and thoracic cases
