Contract | Rotating 12-Hour Shifts | 6:30 AM Start | 72 Hours Guaranteed Biweekly | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for MRI examinations of various body parts, including setup of coils, monitoring devices, and related equipment
• Screen patients and personnel for ferrous metal implants or other contraindicated objects prior to scanning
• Select appropriate pulse sequences, evaluate scan results for quality and completeness, and manipulate images for physician review
• Send images to PACS system, verify exam completeness in a timely manner, and maintain accurate records including statistics and billing entries
• Start intravenous lines for patients requiring IV contrast, monitor for contrast reactions, and communicate any concerns promptly to the radiologist or code team
• Participate in the teaching and clinical evaluation of MRI students and other technologists as needed, and engage in ongoing continuing education activities

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of related MRI technologist work experience
• Active ARRT certification in MRI
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Experience with GE and Siemens 1.5T and 3T MRI scanners
• Experience with Epic electronic health records system
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with PACS systems and their full range of capabilities
• Experience communicating effectively with patients to minimize anxiety and address questions with patience and courtesy
