Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Medical Surgical unit managing common diagnoses including CHF, COPD, cellulitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI
• Maintain patient ratios of up to 1:6/7; candidates must be comfortable with a ratio of up to 1:7
• Titrate heparin drips based on aPTT results
• Monitor and manage patients on intermittent BiPAP; unit does not utilize ventilators
• Work collaboratively with PCTs and coordinate with remote monitor technicians overseeing telemetry
• Float to other units as needed based on census; travelers are first to float

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license; any licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Must submit a copy of an unexpired driver's license with application
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Availability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled (typically half of total weekends)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience on a Medical Surgical unit with telemetry monitoring
• Familiarity with heparin drip titration protocols
• Experience working with BiPAP equipment
