Key Responsibilities
- Provides safe, high-quality, and efficient patient-centric care and support services under routine or emergent conditions across a variety of care settings, including acute inpatient facilities, outpatient practices, and diagnostic/urgent care centers
- Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with physician-ordered procedures
- Utilizes specialized radiologic equipment and techniques to perform a diverse range of diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures in accordance with established scope of practice guidelines
- Transfers images and data to appropriate archival systems, enters technical findings, and prepares studies for physician reporting
- Performs operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, high-level disinfecting, and user maintenance per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines
- Participates in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain competencies and promote continuous improvements in care
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited program with emphasis in a cardiovascular specialty, OR graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program with emphasis in a radiologic technology specialty
- Must meet applicant eligibility requirements for MRI Certification; certification must be achieved within 12 months of hire date
- AHA BLS certification required
- Core knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology, and radiologic/cardiovascular technologies and terminology
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, multi-task, and remain calm in stressful situations
- Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information and maintain accurate records
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Associate's degree or higher in a related field
- Experience applying primary specialty theory, practices, and techniques to perform, post-process, analyze, and annotate study data
