Travel RN – Surgical Trauma ICU (STICU) | Night Shift

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 20-bed Surgical Trauma ICU at a Magnet-designated, ACS Verified Level I Trauma Center with a 1:2 patient ratio
- Operate and monitor advanced equipment including EVDs, Camino/bolts, GE Carescape bedside monitors, GE ventilators, Prisma Max CRRT, Zoll, and Baxter/Alaris IV pump systems
- Perform and assist with complex procedures including intubation, extubation, chest tube placement, central line placement, A-line placement, CRRT/HD, proning, TPA administration, and hypertonic medication administration
- Document all patient care accurately using Cerner PowerChart
- Adhere to a 6-week scheduling cycle requiring 6 weekend shifts; float to other ICUs (MICU, NSICU, CVICU, CICU) or Step Down as needed per floating policy
- Deliver kind, compassionate patient-centered care in alignment with unit standards
Required Qualifications
- Valid, active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Active ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care ICU setting (LTAC experience not considered)
- Trauma ICU experience at a Level I or Level II Trauma Center required
- Surgical ICU experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with CRRT, EVD management, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
- Familiarity with Cerner PowerChart documentation system
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team player with a positive attitude and flexibility in a high-acuity environment
