Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic computed tomography procedures and related imaging techniques, administering x-radiation to produce images for physician interpretation
• When assigned radiographer duties, perform radiographic, fluoroscopic, surgical, and portable radiographic exams
• Corroborate patient clinical history with procedure and ensure documentation is available for radiologist review
• Prepare patients for procedures, position them to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest, and administer contrast media as appropriate; start and maintain intravenous access
• Operate imaging equipment, image capture devices, and accessories; observe universal protocol, standard precautions, and appropriate patient identifiers
• Initiate basic life support when necessary and apply principles of patient safety during all aspects of procedures, including assisting and transporting patients

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program (education verification required)
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
• ARRT Radiography registration required
• ARRT Computed Tomography registration required
• IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required
• Approved CPR or BLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience providing practical instruction for students and clinical partners
• Familiarity with inventory management and supply control in an imaging department
