Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit, managing patient diagnoses including cardiovascular conditions and wounds
• Perform cardiac monitoring duties including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and participation in Rapid Response Team activation
• Perform phlebotomy and peripheral IV placement and management — mandatory competency required for this role
• Administer and manage respiratory support including nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tanks, and non-invasive airway management
• Maintain isolation precautions and adhere to infection control protocols
• Operate specialized equipment including Hoyer lifts and wound VAC; float to MS, ICU, or ED units as needed to care for Med/Surg level patients or serve as helping hands within scope of practice

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered New York State RN license — must be in hand at time of submission (pending licenses not accepted)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience
• EPIC EMR experience is a hard requirement
• Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy and peripheral IV insertion and management
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Rapid Response Team protocols and dysrhythmia management
• Familiarity with wound VAC and Hoyer lift equipment
• Block scheduling flexibility is a plus, though not guaranteed
