Key Responsibilities
- Ensure patient safety through pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, and adherence to radiation safety regulations, including proper documentation when working with radioactive materials and patients
- Produce high-quality diagnostic PET/CT images by interpreting physician orders, selecting appropriate software options, and optimizing imaging parameters
- Communicate effectively with patients, customers, and radiologists to explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and satisfaction
- Train new technologists and/or patient care staff as needed
- Troubleshoot scanners, mobile coaches, and peripheral equipment including monitors, PACS, and associated hardware
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of PET/CT experience required
- Dual certification required: ARRT (CT) and ARRT (N), or equivalent certification through NMTCB
- Active New Jersey state license required as both a CT Technologist and Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Experience operating GE Discovery IQ imaging systems
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working across multiple imaging environments, including freestanding outpatient centers, mobile coaches, and hospital-based or inpatient facilities
- Strong attention to detail with a patient-centered approach to care
