Travel Registered Nurse – ICU
Location
Idaho Falls, ID | Acute Care
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Three 12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 29-bed general ICU at a Level 2 Trauma Center, maintaining patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2
- Perform and support advanced procedures including intubations, central line placement, bronchoscopies, and bedside trach and PEG tube placements
- Manage ventilated patients, interpret ABGs, and titrate vasoactive drips with precision
- Operate and monitor specialized equipment including Aleris pumps, GE monitors, Edwards EV1000/CCO, Prismalflex CRRT, and Cardiohelp ECMO
- Document all patient care accurately using the Meditech documentation system
- Float to ED or step-down units as needed per facility floating policy
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
- Proficiency in vent management, ABG interpretation, vasoactive drip titration, and hemodynamic monitoring
Preferred Experience / Skills
- TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, or ABLS certification
- Experience with CRRT, Impella, IABP, or ECMO
- Familiarity with burn unit or trauma center environments
- Experience in a heart program or high-acuity surgical ICU setting
