Schedule / Job Type
Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Days, 5x8-Hour Shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM | No weekends, no on-call required
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with and support cardiac cath lab procedures including pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction, removal, and Watchman procedures
- Participate in electrophysiology procedures such as cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, arrhythmia induction, conduction studies, insertion/programming of AICDs, left atrial appendage (LAA) closure, and pacemaker insertion
- Administer and monitor cardiac medications including antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and thrombolytics
- Perform and interpret 12-lead EKG/ECG and manage dysrhythmias
- Provide patient education with emphasis on lifestyle modifications and medication adherence
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and team collaboration efforts
Required Qualifications
- Active RN License (compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN in Electrophysiology (EP)
- EPIC charting experience required
- Proficiency in electrophysiology and cardiac cath lab procedures as outlined above
- 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
- Local and non-local candidates welcome; locals accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a heart and vascular clinic or similar specialty setting
- Familiarity with dysrhythmia interpretation and advanced cardiac monitoring
- Experience with quality improvement processes in a clinical environment
