Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with an average daily census of 24 patients
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4 during day shifts
- Document all patient care and clinical activity using Epic electronic health records
- Float within scope of practice to other units or sister facilities as needed to meet staffing demands (up to 75 miles)
- Participate in facility orientation and complete required clinical and non-clinical training modules
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted RN license — no pending licenses accepted
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience
- Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- Valid driver's license or state-issued ID, plus a utility bill in the traveler's name with a matching address dated within the last three months of the projected start date, are required at time of submission
- No more than 5 days of RTO per 13-week contract period; no holiday RTO accepted
- Must be willing to float to other units or facilities within scope of practice as needed
- Two supervisory references required with submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
- First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
- Prior experience charting in Epic
- Comfort with floating to varied unit environments
