Key Responsibilities
- Provides safe, high-quality, patient-centric care and support services under routine or emergent conditions across a variety of care settings including acute inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic/urgent care, and remote outreach clinics
- Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with physician-ordered procedures
- Utilizes specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment and techniques to perform diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures within established scope of practice guidelines
- Conducts post-procedure reviews to confirm completion, documentation, and technical quality consistent with department protocols and applicable accreditation standards
- Transfers images and data to archival systems, enters technical findings, and prepares studies for physician reporting
- Performs operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, high-level disinfection, and user maintenance per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited program with emphasis in a cardiovascular specialty, OR graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program with emphasis in radiologic technology
- Must meet applicant eligibility requirements for CT Certification (ARRT); certification must be achieved within 12 months of hire date
- AHA BLS certification required
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, follow instructions, and maintain a dependable attendance record
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and handle confidential information with discretion
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Associate's degree or higher in a related field
- Prior experience applying cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology principles in a clinical setting
- Familiarity with medical imaging systems, archival platforms, and department-level quality control processes
