Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 4 weekend shifts/month | Projected Start: August 31, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to laboring patients in a 9-bed L&D unit with 3 swing rooms, 2 ORs, and a 3-bed OBED
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 and support patient-centered birth experiences, including promotion of vaginal birth opportunities per patient preference
- Perform unit procedures including OR circulating, IUPC, FSE, MgSO4 administration, postpartum hemorrhage management (JADA system), and nitrous oxide administration
- Document accurately using CPN and Meditech electronic documentation systems
- Collaborate with a laborist team model including 24/7 in-house midwives, dedicated CRNA, OBGYN on call, and NNP available for high-risk deliveries
- Float to mother/baby or outside department to task as needed per floating policy
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Fetal Monitoring certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Spinning Babies training or familiarity
- STABLE program certification or experience
- Experience with couplet care and breastfeeding support, including donor milk protocols
- Familiarity with NICU collaboration and high-risk delivery attendance protocols
