Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 65-bed, pod-based Emergency Department serving approximately 230 visits per day, including a separate pediatric pod and acute mental health area
• Perform general ED nursing skills including assessment, documentation, IV placement, phlebotomy, EKG interpretation, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, and splinting
• Deliver patient education and apply critical thinking across an all-population patient census at a 1:4 clinician-to-patient ratio
• Chart using EPIC – ASAP EMR system
• Float as needed to the ED Observation wing (16 beds) and the Acute Mental Health/ED Psych Observation unit

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• AHA-certified BLS required
• ACLS required
• PALS required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NRP certification strongly preferred
• TNCC certification strongly preferred
• Prior experience with EPIC – ASAP charting system
• Experience in a high-volume or pod-based Emergency Department setting
