Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | Options include 5x8s with flex weekend coverage (2–3 days/month) or 4x10s (Sun–Wed or Wed–Sat); rotating holidays; no self-scheduling
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of 8–10 patients per day across ED and Med Surg areas
- Treat a variety of case types including total joints, CVA, CHF, COPD, and sepsis
- Apply understanding of pathology and lab values to guide clinical decision-making
- Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team, including PTAs, to coordinate patient care
- Participate in rotating holiday coverage as scheduled
Required Qualifications
- Active Arizona Physical Therapist (PT) license — must be in hand at time of placement
- AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience outside of clinicals/fieldwork
- Strong understanding of pathology, lab values, and interdisciplinary communication
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
- No more than 5 days of requested time off
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in acute inpatient settings
- Familiarity with total joint, neurological, and cardiopulmonary patient populations
- Experience working alongside PTAs in a collaborative care model
