Key Responsibilities

• Operate MRI and related imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images across various body areas, including advanced study regions
• Interview and prepare patients by explaining MRI procedures, addressing concerns with tact and professionalism
• Ensure patient safety through pre-screening for contraindications and proper aseptic IV injection technique; IV injection capability is required
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and other customers regarding imaging results and patient care
• Troubleshoot scanner, PACS, coils, monitors, and peripheral equipment to minimize downtime and maintain workflow efficiency
• Provide on-site guidance and training to new technologists and patient coordinators as an experienced team member

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• ARRT (MR) certification required
• BLS CPR certification through the American Heart Association required
• Ability to perform IV injections independently
• Valid state driver's license (as applicable)
• Ability to work in a self-directed environment with minimal supervision

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field
• Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience in a high-volume imaging environment
• Proficiency performing advanced MR studies independently
• Demonstrated experience managing patient interactions and resolving issues to mutual satisfaction
