Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | 12-Hour Shifts (12:00 PM – 12:00 AM) | Rotating Weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Perform triage and ESI-level assessments for emergency department patients in a fast-paced, 9-bed unit
- Administer medications and manage IV insertion, EKG, and cardiac monitoring
- Provide emergency stabilization and trauma care, including moderate sedation procedures
- Maintain a patient ratio of 4:1, prioritizing care based on acuity and clinical need
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Collaborate with a team-oriented staff on rotating weekend shifts; no on-call requirement
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Proficiency in triage and ESI, emergency assessment, medication administration, and management of critical patients
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with trauma and stroke care
- Moderate sedation experience
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR
