Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) – Contract
Location
San Antonio, TX | Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED)
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM | Rotating Weekends (4 out of 8 requirement)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced freestanding emergency department setting with a 1:4 patient ratio
- Perform and assist with procedures including IV placement, bloodwork, Foley catheter insertion, breathing treatments, and medication administration
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using the Meditech EMR system
- Serve in a charge nurse capacity as assigned based on unit needs
- Adhere to all facility dress code and policy requirements, including wearing navy blue scrubs
- May be asked to provide coverage at other affiliated FSED locations within the area as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS or ENPC certification required
- TNCC and CPI certifications required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
- Previous experience in a freestanding emergency department (FSED) setting
- Team-oriented professional with a strong sense of accountability, integrity, and compassion for patients
