Key Responsibilities

• Conduct CT procedures to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data using Computerized Tomography equipment
• Verify patient identification, obtain patient history, document pregnancy status for patients of childbearing age, and ensure patient safety throughout all procedures
• Obtain images per protocols, perform multi-planar and 3D reconstruction of image data, and select appropriate window and level settings according to anatomy
• Administer oral and IV contrast to adult and pediatric patients per protocol, establish intravenous lines, and verify contrast eligibility and appropriate lab values prior to injection
• Maintain thorough understanding of PACS; transmit, verify, and segment images; complete, modify, or cancel orders accurately and in a timely manner
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, document incidents as improvement opportunities, and precept new employees and students

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences (ARRT) or be registry eligible; registry-eligible candidates must provide a copy of diploma from an accredited program
• Advanced certification in CT required
• Registry-eligible candidates must become registered within one year and maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually
• Current competency in HCP BLS required
