Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Two shift options available: Option 1 – Monday, Wednesday, Friday 6:45 AM–7:15 PM (expected 36 hours/week); Option 2 – Tuesday through Friday 6:45 AM–5:15 PM (expected 40 hours/week) | On-call: 2 weekend shifts (24-hour) per month; weekends otherwise limited to on-call only
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients throughout the surgical experience, including pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative phases
- Assist surgical team members during operative procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to sterile technique
- Perform thorough patient assessments and document care accurately in accordance with facility protocols
- Respond to on-call assignments as scheduled, including weekend on-call coverage (2 shifts per month)
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and ancillary staff to facilitate efficient and safe surgical workflows
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Florida or a compact state license
- Current BLS certification required
- Prior Operating Room (scrub and/or circulating) experience required
- Ability to fulfill on-call obligations, including 2 weekend on-call shifts per month
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a high-volume or acute care surgical setting
- Familiarity with a broad range of surgical specialties
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced OR environment
