Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity, fast-paced 54-bed Emergency Department averaging approximately 220 patients per day
• Deliver nursing care to both pediatric and adult populations on a mixed ER floor
• Manage and prioritize care for trauma patients in a Level 2 Trauma Center environment
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using EPIC
• Participate in weekend scheduling as needed; agency staff may be scheduled up to six weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period, with night shift staff assigned up to three Sundays per period
• Expect to work some holidays in accordance with facility scheduling requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience; experience with both pediatric and adult patients required
• Travel candidates: minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required (candidates with 3+ years of ER experience in a busy Level 2 or Level 3 Trauma facility may be considered with less travel experience)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale (pending certifications may be accepted)
• Proficiency in EPIC EMR required
• 2-Step PPD and Flu Vaccine required — no exemptions accepted
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals are not accepted (exceptions may be considered with approval for select specialties)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Level 2 or Level 3 Trauma Center setting
• Familiarity with high-volume, fast-paced emergency department workflows
• Experience floating to other units in accordance with facility and Joint Commission standards
