Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Rotating weekends | Holidays as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Cardiac Step-Down unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor patients via telemetry and respond appropriately to cardiac rhythm changes
- Perform IV starts and other required clinical skills within scope of practice
- Float between like units or campuses as needed based on census and staffing requirements, adjusting to the ratio of the receiving unit
- Participate in rotating weekend coverage and holiday shifts as required
- May be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license (candidates with a pending license may be considered with proof of application; must have active SC license prior to start)
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
- ACLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Step-Down or relevant RN experience
- Telemetry and IV start skills required
- Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be given priority consideration; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR
- Familiarity with acute care hospital environments
