Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of typically 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation throughout each patient encounter
• Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors in accordance with unit protocols
• Maintain patient experience standards including AIDET communication, respectful behavior, and keeping patient boards updated throughout each visit
• Float as needed within all sections of the Emergency Department (no floating outside of the ED)
• Maintain all required certifications prior to start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS; ENPC required within 90 days of hire

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required before start date
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Ability to work every other weekend; scheduling must meet departmental needs — block scheduling is not available
• Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback; flexibility to work in all areas of the ED

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 years of experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
• Previous experience with HCA facilities
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records
