Key Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in alignment with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
- Perform 60-minute evaluation and treatment sessions, designing functional programs that support patients' return to community activities
- Complete medical record documentation accurately and in a timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
- Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
- Participate in student programs as assigned, providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
- Adhere to the applicable State Practice Act and all regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill all state-mandated continuing education requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in good standing in the state of Florida
- Demonstrated competency in patient evaluation, treatment planning, and clinical documentation
- Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional code of conduct and ethical standards
- Ability to comply with safe patient handling and workplace safety policies and procedures
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
- Experience supervising or mentoring PT students
- Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality initiatives
