Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Friday, Saturday & Sunday | 19:00–07:30 | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging across a range of protocols including abdomen/pelvis (with and without contrast), chest (including vascular/CTA), head and neck, and spine/musculoskeletal studies in an adult acute care, emergency department, and pediatric acute care setting
- Operate Siemens CT scanner independently — candidates must have prior Siemens CT experience, as the technologist will work alone on shift
- Perform image display and post-processing tasks including multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) and region of interest (ROI) measurement using PACS
- Prepare and/or administer contrast media, perform venipuncture and peripheral IV starts, and adhere to radiation safety and isolation precaution protocols
- Participate in an on-call rotation (approximately every 6–7 weeks)
- Document and communicate using EPIC and facility email systems
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience required
- ARRT (CT) certification required
- ARRT (R) certification required
- BLS certification required
- Demonstrated proficiency with Siemens CT equipment
- NC state license or compact license (pending status acceptable at time of submission)
- Local candidates are welcome; a lower rate applies for candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in adult outpatient and/or pediatric outpatient settings
- Advanced image post-processing skills including 3D rendering techniques (maximum intensity projection, surface shaded displays, volume rendering)
- Experience with vascular CTA special procedures
