Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT exams and procedures for NICU, CCU, ED, and other hospital departments as requested by medical staff
- Assist radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures
- Complete documentation of all information required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams
- Modify technical settings and adjust scanning parameters to enhance image quality and minimize unnecessary patient exposure
- Perform routine quality inspections and quality control maintenance on CT scanner per manufacturer and organizational guidelines
- Work independently in a highly complex, acute care inpatient setting and provide training and support to peers
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Radiology program or equivalent
- ARRT registration required: R.T.(R) and advanced registry in CT, R.T.(CT)
- American Heart Association BLS certification required
- Minimum of two (2) years of radiology experience as a registered technologist
- Must reside at least 90 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- One (1) or more years of CT experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center
- Ability to work varied shifts and participate in call rotation as scheduled or needed
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-acuity inpatient environment
