Job Title

Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Nights)

Gallatin, TN | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery unit serving maternity women and newborns, including postpartum and nursery settings
Perform fetal monitoring using OB Tracevue for charting strips
At minimum, circulate for cesarean section procedures performed on-site
Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 for patients on Pitocin and 1:2 otherwise
Fulfill call requirements of 2 shifts per 6-week period and rotate weekend hours as needed
Float to other units as needed and document care using Meditech EHR

Required Qualifications

Active RN licensure valid for practice in the state of Tennessee
ACLS certification required prior to start
BLS certification required prior to start
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required prior to start
AWHONN certification required prior to start
Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
Must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start date; results required before start
Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel consideration

Preferred Experience / Skills

PALS certification
Experience with Centricity and/or Meditech EHR systems
Couplet care experience
Positive, cooperative attitude with demonstrated initiative
